TERMS OF ADDITIONAL SUPPORT FROM A PARTNER IN SCREEN TALENT EUROPE
The purpose of the possibility to support projects between the partners in SCREEN TALENT EUROPE is to strengthen talent development, international co-production and the understanding of the conditions for global film production among the future filmmakers.
THE PROCES OF SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION
A grant holder or producer at a supported team apply for additional support from one or more partners in SCREEN TALENT EUROPE to the manager of the funding film workshop / media center. The application contains a description of:
- what equipment is applied for
- the specific production period for which the equipment is needed
- what postproduction facilities is applied for
- the specific post production period
- name and a cv. for the persons who will operate the equipment
- insurance and other relevant information for the loan
- what is needed for other kinds of workflows like animation, visual or special effects, programming, web design etc.
The manager of the workshop or media center prequalify the application with relevant staff members, and inform the partner(s) about the application and the scale of the project and support.
The partner workshop / media center performs a production and finance assessment of the project to conclude whether support is possible.
The applicant must be a local co-producer. If the project has no local co-producer, the partner workshop / media center may help to find one.
Hereafter the grant holder or producer at the crew can submit the application.
The partner workshop / media center makes its own system on how to decide, whether the project can be supported or not. The decision is sovereign / nonnegotiable.
If the project is supported the local co-producer is responsible for following the terms for support. The partner workshop / media center state the terms of support in a written contract before local production begins. The co-producer makes up the value of the support and reports it in the financial plan of the project.
The film workshop / media center that hosts the project-support, are obliged to estimate the total value of each project supported, before the support takes place. And afterwards a project has been supported the film workshop / media center are obliged to calculate the exact value of the support and report it to its partner: film workshop / media center. The value of support shall be estimated according to local market prices.
The film’s opening credits must state that the film is produced with support from the “SCREEN TALENT EUROPE / partner workshop / media center”, unless other agreement has been made between the production company and the partner workshop / media center. The film’s credit texts and all advertising materials must state that the film is produced with support from “SCREEN TALENT EUROPE / partner workshop / media center” and display the logo. The partner workshop / media center must approve the design of credit texts, advertising materials, etc., in mentioning.
