The Norwegian Short Film Festival (June 9-13, 2021), in collaboration with Mediefabrikken and Screen Talent Europe, invite emerging producers, directors and screenwriters from Europe to pitch new short film projects at the Norwegian Short Film Festival in June. Pitching preparations will be held June 8-9. The pitch will take place June 10. Due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation, the event will be held online.

In a 5 minute pitch, each participant will present their project to a jury and an online audience of potential co-producers, financiers and filmmakers. The best pitch will receive a production grant of €4.000! Ten (10) short film projects will be pitched during the Pitching Forum.

Application terms

  • To participate you must have a connection to one of the Screen Talent Europe partners (work/live in the region). List of partners you can find here.
  • The pitch will be held in English. Your application should be in English as well.
  • Producers, directors and screenwriters must have produced at least two (2) films (short fiction or documentary) to be eligible to apply. 
  • You must apply with a project in development (fiction or documentary) with a maximum length of 30 minutes. 
  • To participate you need to be available online for pitching preparations and technical check June 8-9, and for the pitching forum on June 10.

What you get

As well as attending the pitch you will take part in: 

  • A workshop preparing to the pitch, with online sessions with mentors from Mediefabrikken.
  • A networking reception online. 
  • You will also get a free accreditation for the digital festival program.
