Screen Talent Europe (STE) is a network of film workshops and media centres in Europe. At present, we have 17 partners across 9 countries.

We are here to help filmmakers across Europe connect with one another through international talent development projects such as film production camps, pitching forums, and networking events.

We’re interested in hearing the ideas and desires of filmmakers like you, to develop international collaboration within the European filmmaking scene.

Berlinale
The Berlinale Meetup is a networking and film screening event that takes place during the Berlinale. The event is a great opportunity to meet other filmmakers from across Europe, and also a chance to meet the organisations in Screen Talent Europe. The event takes place at The Nordic Embassies in Berlin.
More information on the 2025 edition will follow soon.

Directors Village
CineSud Directors Village is a multi-day residency focused on emerging European directors who are working on a new short film idea and want to advance both the artistic development of their project and their own directorial skills. Directors Village returns annually with eight new top talents from various European countries, and the programme is a collaboration with Screen Talent Europe and its partners. The call for Directors Village 2025 will go live at the end of September! Keep an eye on www.cinesud.nl and the socials of CineSud for all the details.

In 2024, CineSud will also organize a Directors Village variant for non-fiction creators: DOCvillage. The first edition is for creators from the Netherlands and Flanders, but future editions will be in English, making them accessible to creators from all over Europe (and beyond).

Pitching Forum
STE Pitching Forum is an annual event that takes place during the Norwegian Short Film Festival in Grimstad, in the month of June. The Pitching Forum is a collaboration between Mediefabrikken, Screen Talent Europe and the Norwegian Short Film Festival. Twelve emerging filmmakers will be selected to pitch their projects during the festival in front of a jury and an audience. Finally, a winner will be selected and awarded a production grant of €4.000.

Talent Camp
Talent Camp Odense is a talent development programme arranged by Odense Film Workshop, which takes place during the Oscar-qualifying Odense International Film Festival  in week 35 each year. The 5-day programme offers intensive days of workshops, master classes, screenings, and networking events with young filmmakers and the industry.
Application is open to filmmakers from all over the world between the age of 18-28 years, and offers emerging filmmakers the opportunity to both develop their film crafts and meet filmmakers from across the world. You can learn more about Talent Camp here.
