Berlin Network & Screening

The Berlinale Meetup is a networking and film screening event held during the Berlinale in February. On this occasion, we showcase short films by filmmakers supported by Screen Talent Europe partners — a celebration of diverse voices and creative visions from across the network.

The event offers a unique opportunity to connect with fellow filmmakers from all over Europe and to meet the organisations behind Screen Talent Europe.

The Berlinale Meetup takes place at the Nordic Embassies in Berlin.
The 2026 edition will soon be announced!

Directors Village

This is a creative residency and training programme for emerging writer-directors who want to strengthen their artistic voice and develop their short film projects. Taking place during the Euregion Film Forum, the program is organised by CineSud in collaboration with STE partners. Over several intensive days, participants dive deep into script development, directing vision and working with actors — supported by industry professionals and mentors.

The program combines workshops, personal coaching and peer exchange, creating an inspiring environment where filmmakers can take creative risks and grow their storytelling skills.

The open call for the 2026 edition is now open – learn more and apply here.

The Pitching Forum Grimstad

This is an annual event held during the Norwegian Short Film Festival in Grimstad each June. Organised by Mediefabrikken and in partnership with the Norwegian Short Film Festival and STE, the Pitching Forum brings together twelve emerging filmmakers, who are selected to present their latest short film projects before a professional jury and audience. The winning filmmaker receives a production grant of €2,500.

Beyond the pitch itself, participants take part in workshops and networking activities designed to strengthen their projects and build international connections. The forum is a vibrant meeting place for filmmakers across Europe — encouraging collaboration, co-production and creative exchange. To learn more, read about the previous Pitching Forum on Mediefabrikken’s website. Stay tuned for the 2026 edition.

Talent Camp Odense

Talent Camp Odense is an international talent development programme organised by Film Workshop Odense. It takes place each year during the Oscar-qualifying Odense International Film Festival (week 35).

Over five days, the camp offers workshops, masterclasses, film screenings and networking events. It brings together emerging filmmakers from across the world, creating a vibrant space for learning, collaboration and creative exchange — the perfect place for new filmmakers to grow. Since its launch in 2008, Talent Camp Odense has been the starting point for many international collaborations and co-productions.
